E.V. Spence Reservoir is located upstream and 2 miles west of the small town of Robert Lee, in Coke County, Texas. The Reservoir is also known as Lake E. V. Spence. It is an artificial lake and was impounded on the Colorado River by the Robert Lee Dam in 1969. The reservoir was created to provide a steady water source for Robert Lee and the surrounding towns in Coke County. The reservoir also provides recreation for the area. Popular activities like boating, swimming and fishing are common on the lake.
